The 2015 Bangladesh Science Conference
BAAS organizes science conference with the objective of stock-taking of advancement in science, exchange of ideas among the scientists acquiring vision and wisdom for planning for the future. Each conference is devoted to a central theme of significance to the country’s socio-economic development.
Bangladesh suffers from the chronic problems of poverty and unemployment with low level of productivity technology resulting in increasing landlessness and deterioration of the living condition of the rural people. Since long past, the country has been striving to overcome the situation by adaptation and application of modern technologies, which made significant contributions to our GDP. It is the task of the hour to redirected our scientific capabilities for rejuvenate future production system and for ensuring sustainability of country’s development. This is why “Science and Technology for National Development” has been selected to be the theme of this year’s conference.
